The universe

We will show them Our Signs in the universe, and in their own selves, until it becomes manifest to them that this (the Quran) is the truth Q41:53

Asalamu alaykum, Hi.

I’ll be talking about the universe today.

Astronomers estimated that there are about 100 thousand million stars in our galaxy alone, each probably having earth-like planets revolving around them like the earth and the other planets do around the sun, our star.

These aren’t full images of a universe. And it’s not even completely real since no one knows how the universe actually looks. Anyway, there’re over two trillion galaxies in the universe, Each having millions and millions of stars and planets.

I need you to visualise how large a trillion is.

At one number per second, with no breaks, at all, for any reason, it would take 11 days, 13 hours, 46 minutes, and 40 seconds to count from one to 1,000,000. To count a billion would take you about 30years — I think you get the idea now.

The earth is so tiny compared to the galaxy that it’s not even visible, forget the earth, even the sun, which you can fit about 1.3 million earths into, is not visible compared to our galaxy. And there’re over 2 trillion galaxies in a universe. Subhan’Allah!

And All of this is in the first heaven.

And according to a Hadith, the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, they’re seven heavens, that each heaven is like a ring in a desert compared to the next heaven eg the first heaven is like a ring in a desert compared to the second heaven and the second heaven is like a ring in a desert compared to the third heaven and so on. — (imagine looking for a ring in a desert!)

So imagine How tiny we must be compared to Allāh  سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ who is in the 7th heaven!

WE ARE SO TINY!

And subhan’Allah Allāh knows what’s happening in each heaven and what every single one of his creation is doing, thinking etc. Subhan’Allah!

There was this tiny insect I saw yesterday while I was reading the Quran and subhan’Allah it was so tiny I could hardly see it. And I was thinking, with all these creation of Allāh and from that 7th heaven, Allāh can see that creature. SubhanAllah.

With Him are the keys of the unseen-no one knows them except Him. And He knows what is in the land and sea. Not even a leaf falls without His knowledge, nor a grain in the darkness of the earth or anything-green or dry-but is written' in a perfect Record. (Q6:59)
