Describe how you see yourself.
If I were to view myself as a plant, I’d say I’m a cactus.
At first glance I look unapproachable like I’d prick you if you dared to touch me.
But look closer and you’ll realise I bear beautiful vibrant flowers.
If I were to view myself as an animal, I’d say I’m a koala that enjoys her own company and like to do things at her own pace.
I can be lazy too and I hate being rushed. Though I often wish I was a bird so I can soar the sky and fly away from my life. But I am no bird for I do not feel free.
I see myself as a free spirit trapped in a body glued to the ground.
I see myself as a body of water with no control over what cup I’ll fill next.
I want to move but I have no legs.
I want to fly but I have no wings.
So I just sit there waiting for someone to turn me into a different cup.
But no one comes so I sit there unwanted, untouched, alone with no idea where I am.
If my life were a book, it’ll be a boring one and that saddens me.
